Aerosmith Concert - Lima, 22 Mayo 2010

thank you God, to bring Aerosmith to Lima. thank you God, because this is the concert i wanted to be since i was 14 years old. thank you God for Steven Tyler giving up on drugs for a while and for Joe Perry's patience with him (so as the rest of the band). i couldn't believe what i heard from this spot... even when i checked it just minutes before i went to the concert.

"My big awakening happened when I was fourteen. I'd been trying to get into this older girl's pants for a while, and she finally let me come over to her house. We hung out, smoked some pot and listened to Aerosmith's Rocks. It hit me like a fucking ton of bricks. I sat there listening to it over and over, and totally blew off this girl. I remember riding my bike back to my grandma's house knowing that my life had changed. Now I identified with something."

I'm alone, yeah... I don't know if I can face the night
I'm in tears, and the cryin' that I do is for you
I want your love - Let's break the walls between us
Don't make it tough - I'll put away my pride
Enough's enough. I've suffered and I've seen the light

This has been the most expensive concert ticket from my whole life (without considering flight tickets), and even when my savings got me the chance to buy something more expensive, i bought it with my great friends Calacho and El Charro right after we bought the tickets for Guns N Roses Concert... in fact we couldn't buy them there because they were sold out, and 'cause we didn't want the same happening with Aerosmith :P but we bought them in the middle of March, almost 2 months before the concert! my poor ticket was forgotten in my wallet for almost a month, i can't believe i left it there! now it looks like i enjoyed the concert, and so i did :DHa sido la entrada más cara de mi vida a un concierto, y aunque mis ahorros me daban como para estar un poco más adelante, compré la entrada con mis amigos Calacho y El Charro inmediatamente después de comprar las entradas para el concierto de Guns N Roses, las que no llegamos a comprar en ese momento porque se agotaron... y no quisimos que lo mismo nos pasara con Aerosmith.

Fonchy's Ticket for Aerosmith Concert in Lima - 2010 May 22nd. Taken while writing this post for the blog :P (yeah, look at the video, and the blog screen... it is mine!

My mama told me there'd be days like this
and man she wasn't foolin'
'cause I just can't believe the way you kiss
you opened up your mouth with bated breath
you said you'd never leave me
you love me, you hate me, I tried to take the loss
You're cryin' me a river but I got to get across

We only had to wait for the concert... days were sooooo loooong... then i had some time to bring my Aerosmith passion back, and look for some facts and story, pictures and so on... i even got into the Air Force One 1st time in 5 years i think, too bad for a fan :( but i looked for my albums, there i found my 1st cd ever... Big Ones. right next to it there was Just Push Play and even when i had no Nine Lives, a friend gave it to me for a while... so i could copy its songs into my computer. The following is an interview with Steven Tyler for a peruvian tv channel.

I do love you too, Steven! también te amo!

Well I woke up this morning, on the wrong side of the bed
and how I got to thinkin' about all the things you said
about ordinary people and how they make you sick
and if callin' names kicks back on you then I hope this does the trick

And... this was one of my favorite parts in the concert. Still on the "first minutes" (i think...), Steven Tyler got a bottle with our traditional "chica morada" (a juice made from purple corn), drunk some and then threw the bottle into the audience (i didn't like he did so, but he did it with such class... impressive). I like he drunk the chicha... and said "rica chicha" with his american english accent. another good part was when he showed us the peruvian flag with a dedication to Perú :) i didn't see him (i was waaay at the back), but i read and heard we wore a chullo... a traditional hat it is used specially in the mountains (by need, in the coast is fancy clothing). of course i think i don't need to mention the great band performance... it was a great great great awesome incredible remarkable unbelievable... and any other word we can use in english for this!! wow!! Aerosmith rocks!!! See here one of my favorites songs... What it takes. But i think Crazy and Crying were the most sung that night... God save Aerosmith. Dios salve a Aerosmith.

Aerosmith Concert in Lima 2010 - Steven drinks chicha + What it takes

There goes my old girlfriend, there's another diamond ring
and, uh, all those late night promises I guess they don't mean a thing.
So baby, what's the story? Did you find another man?
Is it easy to sleep in the bed that we made?
When you don't look back I guess the feelings start to fade away.
I used to feel your fire, but now it's cold inside.
And you're back on the street, like you didn't miss a beat? yeah

Of course i had to search for some pics from the concert, even when they can't assure the concert was in Lima (but, do we need any more evidence???). I do have more pictures myself, but i took them with a friend's camera... and i don't have them yet. Now that i remember, that is the reason why i didn't published this post earlier. On the following picture you can find Steven playing the harmonica (i found a very funny chapter of Two and a half men featuring Steven Tyler, but i couldn't insert it here) and the other is him again, but with a big part of the audience in Lima.

Rag Doll, livin' in a movie;
hot tramp, Daddy's little cutie...
So fine, they'll never see ya
leavin' by the back door, man
Hot time, get it while it's easy,
don't mind, come on up and see me...
Rag Doll, baby won't you do me
like you done before

Where do fallen angels go?
I just don't know...
Where do fallen angels go???
They keep falling

Lying close to you, feeling your heart beating
and I'm wondering what you're dreaming, wondering if it's me you're seeing.
Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together
and I just wanna stay with you in this moment forever... forever and ever

You think you're in love like it's a real sure thing,
but every time you fall you get your ass in a sling.
You used to be strong, but now it's "ooh baby please"
... 'cause falling in love is so hard on the knees

Aerosmith, thanks for making
one of my dreams come true!!!
